What we will be using today? We will be using the Orange Shine Jam for extra hold.

We will use two big clips, one rat tail comb, and one handy-dandy rope ring.

First what we’re going to do here is take the bun out – as you can see here, Trey’s hair is pretty long. Now your hair doesn’t necessarily have to be this length exactly — as long as your hair is long enough to braid, that’s what’s going to matter.

Now also those whose hair is very straight, they can even straighten your hair or comb it out and ‘brush it out’ … so it’s not as curly.

Now notice the Haircut that we have here… very similar to what I did with my topknot button tutorial; u can have a fade on the side or you can get like an undercut style. What we’re going to do now is we’re using a rat tail comb; use the end of that comb to create a part within the hair.

So she uses the Shine Jam over the part; it helps her get a part exactly straight to the middle. She’s guiding the rat tail comb through the part of the hair, so it can be very crisp and clean.
